Earlier this month, Laura and I teamed up with Moda Creative’s Zubie Brown and stylist Kirsten Morrison to help film content for their new website showcasing local designers.
The shoot kicked off at Fortitude Valley’s Winn Street lane way where we met with designers Alex Martin from Gold Ordon and Chantelle Cox, owner of label Farron and shop Haut Boheme. If you’ve not been to the lane way before, I recommend you start your shopping trip off with a coffee on the corner entrance to it.
Necklace by Gold Ordon. Designer Alex said this is one of her customer’s most favourite pieces.
Without giving too much away before you see the video, you’ll soon see just how beautifully their shop has been designed to tie in with the concept behind their clothing and accessories.I was fascinated by the necklaces hanging on the wall. To me, they resembled horse shoes for good luck that could be hung on wall’s inside a house, just like art work. The gold detailing you can also see on the wall, is from the original design of the building. What once was a part of a lift is now part of a change room!
For our second stop, we made our way to Balmoral where we were welcomed into the home of Jessie from Ela Hawke Vintage.
Our last stop for the day was a visit to Megan Todd to talk to her about her label Knots and Knits.
We were so happy to of had the chance to collaborate with Moda Creative on these videos. Laura has been busy working behind the scenes compiling them all to be released exclusively through Moda Creative in coming weeks.
