We did it! Thank you to the fashionista and creative industries friends I have for making my idea a reality.
I cannot thank each and every one of you enough for helping to make a difference to women affected by breast cancer.
I am proud to say through our efforts we have contributed $1000 including registration and sponsorship towards the Mater Chicks in Pink, which is a huge achievement! Thank you to everyone who sponsored us.
The funds raised provide women with care, for example babysitters during treatment and cover the cost for specially fitted bras for women who have undergone surgery.
The funds also help with providing special services such as art therapy and yoga classes to women and very importantly assist the Mater chicks in pink to invest in world class research, to improve the way cancer is treated and to help fight for a cure.
Today was so much fun and I hope we can do it again next year. For now, please enjoy some happy snaps us bubbly creatives took this morning.
This is our team and we rock! L to R: Thank you to Marselly Conway, Pacharo Mzember, Sarah Hulcombe, (me) Yolanda van Kimmenade (Bnestyle), Lexi Wittke, Tanya Wright and Kacy Hyoju Seo. Absent: Shannon Strike and Ashlie.
And here we are extremely overjoyed to get the run started!
So stoked I ran into Abby Coleman from B105 and got to have my photo taken with her! I was able to personally thank her for my interview which aired on the radio Friday.
It really was refreshing running through the Botanical gardens
Mid run – we look like we were chilling, but we weren’t really. We just love taking photos.
I’m with Pacharo (Patch) who is lead actress starring as Martin Luther King in “Mountaintop” currently showing at QPAC and with Marselly my awesome hairstylist!
My new Korean friend Kacy! I am so grateful to have met you through the Westfield Chermside parade.

Miss fit Lexi leading the pack. We did some swerving today and took over lots of people! #feelinggood
On route with Yolanda!
Tired eyes! Oh well at least we rocked the pink!
After the race just hanging out together. I think I look better after the run, no more tired eyes!
Lexi and I sharing some Lorna Jane inspiration.
Race is finished and I’m on my way to get a boost juice!
To finish, here is some video fun:
This post is dedicated to my mum.
