Seoul Fashion Week SS15 – PartspARTS

The nice thing about returning to a fashion week is having the chance to really get into a designer and follow what they’re doing in terms of aesthetics.

For some reason before I even attended my first Seoul Fashion Week in SS14, I was really drawn to designer Im Seon Oc from the label PartspARTS. It’s not that I’d necessarily wear her designs here in Queensland given our warmer climate, but because I have an appreciation for her design process. This is something I want to learn more of and be abel to adopt into my own style.

With this brand concept it’s all about 0% waste, so using one material and using a really basic design process.

The concept for the Spring Summer 2015 collection was ‘Back to Origin’. The team has used one fiber, so one piece of clothe, which all the clothes have been made from. The idea is to create many different looks using the one material in a subtle way.

I love the black and white in this collection, but mostly the few pops of colouful bold outfits. This style to me represents a woman of confidence.

I do really want to try on and buy one of these outfits.
