After an amazing first experience at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) last year, I couldn’t wait to go back again this year.
I booked my hostel style hotel ‘Space Hotel’, which was actually a brilliant choice by me because it was as the receptionist described only a “short” stroll from the Melbourne Museum where the event was being held and was the perfect fit for a singleton lady like me travelling from interstate. Of course it was, but as any lady knows any walk in heels (and with a backpack loaded of camera equipment) is like a never ending road.
Any way just as well the scenery was pretty and Melbourne wasn’t raining so that was a major plus. I found my way to the entrance of the event for the first show on my list, which the National Graduate Showcase presented by Target Australia and Supported by Fashion Journal. The show didn’t disappoint.
The graduates were bubbly as to be expected and all got along like a house on fire, so the show really just felt like a big celebration of their outstanding achievements.
Here are some photos I took prior to the show starting and then if you scroll down you’ll see the talented work by the graduates…
